The Chicago Bar Association rated Michael Weaver as “Qualified” for the office of Judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County.  In its evaluation, the CBA found that Michael “handles a variety of complex legal matters and is well regarded for his knowledge of the law, extensive experience, and fine demeanor.”


At McDermott Will & Emery, Michael Weaver focuses on product liability litigation, which includes representing medical device, manufacturing and consumer-goods clients in complex litigation matters. He recently argued before the Ohio Supreme Court, which resulted in a 6-1 decision in which the court rejected a theory of causation that did not adequately consider whether a particular defendant’s product was a substantial factor in causing an injury.
